The District Administration of Orissa has keenly supported and collaborated with VAL’s endeavours to provide the rural community with quality education and primary as well as advanced medical services. This is keeping in line with some of VAL’s dedicated sustainable development goals that place a premium on two focus areas: children’s education and development, and public health care.Projects- BAL CHETNA, Family Planning Operation Camp, Mega health camps, specialised camps for Malaria control and Pulse polio drives, Mid-day meals across 235 schools in Lanjigarh.


NABARD is an apex bank that facilitates credit flow in the rural areas of India. It is instrumental in fostering prosperity in these areas by financing agricultural schemes and other small scale cottage industries.
Established in 1994, PRATHAM is the largest non governmental organization working to provide quality education to the underprivileged children of India. In joint efforts with PRATHAM, VAL has undertaken a project to establish a robust elementary education across five villages in Jharsuguda. Under the project, 1250 children will be educated and prepared for a brighter future.
AISD is a reputed research and educational institute with a vision to promote sustainable development of society through peaceful utilisation of resources. VAL partnered with AISD to transform the lives of people living near the plant site, by ushering in advanced means of income through diversified cultivation.
ACCESS is a not-for-profit company that offers specialised technical assistance under two verticals: microfinance and livelihoods. VAL has collaborated with ACCESS Development Services with the chief motive of empowering people by engendering sustainable income generation across villages. VAL intends to make a difference to lives by promoting microfinance and deploying trained rural people to run the system.
Founded in 1998, Naandi Foundation undertakes social development projects in three broad sectors: child rights, safe drinking water and sustainable livelihoods. VAL signed an MoU with the foundation to revolutionise holistic development of children in school by organising mid-day meals. The government of Orissa also partnered the initiative.
