Looking Ahead
One of the major premises of VAL’s sustainable development programmes is rural infrastructure. VAL recognizes that infrastructural inadequacy is a major challenge that rural communities face and strives to meet the demand for high quality facilities through partnerships with local communities, civil society groups and government departments. Some of the major planned initiatives on this front are the following:

  1. VAL will be installing street lights at Ambodala as a part of Project Ujala. This is a part of the electrification drive that the firm had embarked on as a part of this project. Pole installation work is also being done at Chanalima, Kenduguda, Bundel, Bhalupada.
  2. In keeping with its objective of developing basic infrastructure in peripheral villages, VAL will be constructing the steps at Ashrampada pond and the guard wall of the culvert at Lanjigarh.
