I have practically seen and been a part & parcel of Vedanta's growth. As an Engineer I have learnt the trades of the company's business philosophies. Working here was and is always a challenge which has made me adaptable to any situation. Empowerment of employees and encouraging "Out of the box thinking" has really worked wonders and has always created world class benchmarks in the field of project execution and operations.......

My association with the Vedanta Group is from the year 2006, first as Head Township BALCO, Korba, Chattisgarh and presently Heading the CSR & PR at VAL, Lanjigarh, Orissa. I feel the vision of ‘Quality of Life’ for Vedanta surpasses not only the Plant and its Township but also touches the complete region, giving a new dimension to the economic and cultural growth of the people as a responsible corporate citizen.

Few Corporate Houses across the Globe give their team the vision to dream big and endeavor to shape them into a reality. In Vedanta, we are always given the space to think and dream big, take up the challenge, achieve it. With multi spectrum activities in every unit there still exists seamless cohesiveness amongst departments of these locations and group units culminating to both individual and organizational success. This growing together is the DNA of our organization which always fascinates me.

I joined the Vedanta Group in June 2002 as Management Trainee at the CEO's office in Chennai and then have worked in various profiles in Projects at Balco and Vedanta Aluminium Limited (VAL) in Jharsuguda and also in Management Assurance Function at Corporate Office, Bombay. I am currently working as Manager, Commercial for VAL. I am a Textile Engineer by qualification having passed from V.JT.I., Mumbai and also have completed my MBA with Finance as specialization from K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research.

I was the youngest member of the Project team from Balco to attend the first design liaison meeting with Project technology partner, GAMI in China. To me, Vedanta is one of the fastest growing companies and the opportunities for us all are endless. One of the best things I have experienced working in this Group is it empowers employees at all levels to take decisions.
